Mataro (Mourvédre) grape that see Semi-carbonic maceration (5 days) + 100% Whole Cluster fermentation - creating a bright, light, fruit forward, slightly dank, chill worthy and beautiful wine.
The 2023 Mataro comes from the famous Stoney Vine Vineyard in the Rocks AVA, an Estate Vineyard from Dusted Valley in the Walla Walla region that is producing some beautiful fruit across the board. This wine shows high tone fruit notes of raspberry, pomegranate, blueberry & star anise, with wonderful tension between acid & roundness after resting in neutral French oak for 5 months.
Racked once into 8 yr old neutral oak. Bottled unfined & unfiltered. Vegan friendly.
